The doctors and nurses reports that was the best patient that they ever had. Lexa was so friendly with all the staff and had a smile on her face the entire time. She even managed a smile when her tummy felt sick after she drank a glass of apple juice and ate 1/2 a Popsicle after the procedure. Since she could not eat anything past midnight and did not get done until about 11:00 am Lexa was famished and may have overdone it with juice and a Popsicle. Our little trooper did not even fall asleep on the way home and was very excited to see all her new Barbie's and Polly Pockets when she got home. After a short nap Darcy and Lexa headed off to see the movie UP. It was an excellent and had us laughing out loud several times.
On Thursday Grandma and Papa came up for Lexa's school's graduation picnic. Lexa is not actually graduating this year and will continue in preschool one more year but all of the children in the preschool class participated in the graduation weather they were moving on to Kindergarten or not. The kids sang songs and received diplomas. Unfortunately there was a threat of rain so it was moved inside and it was very crowded and difficult to hear and even more difficult to get any pictures. In the end it did not rain at all and was cooler outside than inside.
This weekend Grandma and Papa watched all three kids while Darcy, Tracy, and Eric hit all the grown up water rides at Kings Dominion. The crowds were great and we were able to go on all the water rides and even a couple of roller coasters in less than three hours. Grandma and Papa bravely took all three kids to the pool where Lexa showed off her great swimming ability. Saturday evening Lexa and Darcy headed to a cookout at Justin and Heathers where Lexa enjoyed playing with all the other kids in a large pile of dirt and ended up covered in it from head to toe, literally. Needless to say, she had a very long bath later that night.
On Sunday after church, Lexa and Mike headed back to Kings Dominion and Lexa was able to try a new ride where they flew way up high like birds going around and around. They also went on the Scooby Doo Roller coaster and Flume Ride several times.
Now everyone is back to work and school and looking forward to visiting Grandma and Papa in NC next weekend.
Have a great week.
In the way to the surgical center to get her second set of tubes.
Lexa was so excited to be in a hospital bed "just like Daddy"
when he had back surgery
We had to wait quite a while so we passed the time by taking
lot of pictures.
After surgery still smiling, sort of.
A little clip of graduation and a smile from Lexa.
It was difficult to get any good pictures becasue of
the space was so cramped. Lexa is on the left.
Daddy and Lexa dressed alike getting ready to go to KD.
