The Last Supper

Happy Late Easter Everyone! The past couple of weeks have been full of Easter Egg Hunts and fun with family and friends. Two weekends ago we participated in our church Easter Party which consisted of stories of the true meaning of Easter, arts and crafts, egg and cupcake decorating, and an egg hunt. Also that weekend after church on Sunday we went to Lexa's friend Heather's home for a special egg hunt for just Lexa and Heather. They had a great time hunting and playing together.
This past weekend we enjoyed a nice family gathering and Easter Dinner at our house with Bebe, Aunt Tracy, Uncle Eric, Riley, and Kyle. We sure missed Grandma and Papa but we know they enjoyed the golf tournament they played in. Dinner was delicious, the company was great, and both the kids and adults enjoyed the easter egg hunts. Thank you Bebe for hosting the adult hunt.
Lexa continues to love her gymnastics class and is very happy that her friend, Jordan, from school is in the class with her. Lexa will be starting soccer this Saturday and it really looking forward to it.
Lexa has learned the true Christian meaning of Easter very well, thanks to Sunday School and day care staff. She is able to tell everyone that Jesus was hung and died on a cross and had nails in his hands and feet, was on the cross for three weeks, and then rose from the dead. While it is wonderful she knows the true meaning of Easter, it can also be confusing for a 4-year-old because she has asked a few times when Mamo is coming back. Fortunately when we tell her that Mamo is not coming back, she just takes it in stride.
Lexa has also been doing a great job trying not to suck her thumb. She asks to wear gloves every night at bedtime and is very proud of herself when they are still on in the morning. She is growing up so fast, too fast.
Now that the hustle and bustle of Easter is over we are ready for Summer but it has been rainy and cold here for a few days. Come on hot weather!
Enjoy the pictures
