The Real Thing

Busy, Busy last few weeks. First, welcome home Grandma and Papa! They had a wonderful time in Australia and New Zealand and Sammi was very happy to have them home too. We miss Sammi but he will be back again next week for another extended visit. The evening they returned we had a big family birthday dinner for grandma at Red Robin. Grandma did not have an official birthday day because they were flying in a plane through time zones and somehow missed her birthday day all together. She claims that since she missed her birthday she did not get any older so . . . Happy No Birthday Grandma!
Lexa's swim classes are now over. Unfortunately, just when she was getting back into swimming, the last two classes were canceled due to inclement weather and instructor illness. We are going to try to take one more swim class before the summer starts to help hone in on those swimming skills. Lexa is now taking a dance class with her cousin Riley. She is so excited to get to wear her ballet clothes and ballet shoes and has been going around the house pretending she is a ballet teacher.
Mommy and Lexa had an impromptu trip to Kangaroo Jacks one Saturday and Lexa was much more daring this time. We have also been enjoying the wonderfully warm weather here in VA. It has been in the 60's and 70's for about a week and we are ready for Spring now. We choose to ignore that pesky groundhogs predictions this year.
Since the weather has been so nice and we have given up hope of a big snow, we decided to go see some snow. This past weekend we joined the Surratt Family on a adventure to Rigley Park at Wintergreen Resort. Rigley Park is a small snow park for kids where they can go tubing, ride a tube carousel, and just play in the snow. It was a nice day so we did not freeze and the kids had a spectacular time. Now we hope we do not see any more snow until next winter. Enjoy all the pictures.

talking about making a snow bunny all winter. This was the best
we could do.
