Last Thursday Darcy took the day off work to watch Riley, Kyle, and Lexa while everyone went to Honor's funeral in Arlington. Eric's cousin rented a big greyhound-type bus for the trip up there and the kids were able to explore the bus before everyone left. It was Lexa's first time in, or even near, a big bus like that and she was in awe. Darcy took the three kids to the play area at the mall and out to lunch and the three behaved like angels all day. Friday night Mike, Darcy, and Lexa went to BeBe's house to celebrate Honors life. It was so wonderful to see so many of Honors family members who traveled from all over the country to be here. The last time we saw most of them was on Tracy and Eric's wedding cruise and it was very nice to catch up with everyone. Check out the link to the Surratt blog on the right for some more pictures of the celebration and the bus.
This past weekend Brandi, Kevin, Mitch, and Alexis came to celebrate a late Christmas. We had scheduled it earlier but busy schedules and illness made us push it back to this past weekend. It was great seeing them and we had a wonderful visit. The kids loved playing together and Lexa really enjoyed having Alexis sleep in her room. The girls did not fall asleep until sometime after 10 pm. On Sunday Mike, Kevin, and Mitch went to Bass Pro and Kevin and Mitch (well, mostly Kevin) was in 7th heaven looking at all the hunting and fishing stuff.
Today we had a nice amount of snow and ice and Lexa's school closed so Darcy stayed home with her and we were able to go out in the snow/ice and play for a while. We sure hope we get some real snow sometime this winter.
Until next time . . . . .
Don't let the dress fool you. He does look cute
though, don't you think?

This is a video from Aug 2007 that we wanted to share
with everyone. We call it our America's Funniest Videos clip.
It is a little long, but we think it is very funny.
