Hay Daze

It is getting hard to find time to blog these days between all the birthday parties and fall festivities. We are pretty sure that most of the kids at Lexa's new school were born in the fall months. Two weekends ago Lexa was invited to two birthday parties. Lexa was a little under the weather on Saturday so we did not make it to Dash's party, but by late afternoon she was feeling better so we all ventured out to the pumpkin patch for some pumpkin picking and fun in the children's maze and moon bounce. On Sunday Lexa enjoyed Aubrey's birthday party at Romp N Roll where she had fun jumping in another moon bounce. After the party we met Aunt Tracy, Riley, and Kyle at the mall. We stayed a little too late in Old Navy and sort of got locked in the mall and had to walk to the other end to get out and then across the parking lot to our cars. What an adventure!
Lexa enjoyed two hay rides and a trip to pick pumpkins at school this past week. According to Lexa, Farmer Grady took them on the hay ride and he really enjoyed hearing the children sing. Lexa has learned two new Halloween songs, a new version of the Itsy Bitsy Spider and 1 Little 2 Little 3 Little Witches. We will try to get them on video.
Grandma and Papa came into town this past Thursday evening and spent the night with us and on Friday they left before sunrise to go on their hot air balloon ride in Charlottesville. They had a great time and described it as surreal and report that it was not scary.
On Saturday we finally had soccer again. It has been rained out the last few weekends. The girls are getting better at actually playing a game and Riley even scored a few goals. We also went to Riley's house to celebrate her birthday with the whole family. Lexa gave Riley a pair of roller skates and they had fun rolling around the garage together. This upcoming weekend is Riley's big princess and pirate party. We can't wait.
We probably did more these past two weeks, but that is all we can remember. Enjoy the pics.
