I'm Truthin' it

Last week was a week of Celebrations! Brandi, Kevin, Alexis, and Mitch spent last weekend with us and we had a wonderful time. On Saturday we went to Cobblestone Park for a day full of water fun. Meri, Gabe, Emma, Debbie, Eric, and Riley joined us too. After the water park we came back to our house for a cook out and Mikes early birthday celebration. Tracy and Kyle (who was a little under the weather) joined us back at the house too. On Sunday we played outside on the playground and with the ATV's (Mitch brought his too) and just hung around and had a relaxing day. Lexa really enjoyed playing with Alexis all weekend and she really wants a 6-year-old big sister. By the end of the weekend she was calling Alexis "sissy", which is what Mitch calls Alexis. When you ask Lexa who her sisters are, she will usually tell you Shawn, Brandi, and Alexis. We do have a strange family tree, so we can see how it can be confusing for her. Brandi, Kevin, Mitch, and Alexis left on Sunday evening and we hope they come back to visit soon.

Our 8th anniversary was this past Tues. Happy Anniversary to us! Mike had to work so we celebrated on the 17th, along with Mikes actual birthday, with a nice family dinner at the Olive Garden. Ms. Gail was closed on Thursday, Mikes B-day, so Lexa and Mike spent the day at the local community pool. Lexa made many friends, she really is a social butterfly and very outgoing. She met one boy, John, who called her his girlfriend and even made his sister give up her kick board so that Lexa could play with it.
Grandma and Papa's Anniversary was also this past Friday. Happy Anniversary Grandma and Papa!

Yesterday Lexa went to an all day Vacation Bible School and absolutely enjoyed it. It was a day filled with water and learning about God. Once again, she was as outgoing as ever with all the teachers and kids even though she did not know one single person there. It was a long day, without a nap, but she hung in there and we were told she had a big smile on her face all day. After Bible School the three of us went out for dinner at a new tavern in town. It was a very fun atmosphere and the food was great. It may become our new favorite place to eat.

Today it was back to Vacation Bible school, Church Worship, and a cookout and more water play afterwards. Lexa is quite worn out and taking a long nap as we write this.
